  1. What style of management do you think Rupert Murdoch employs? Classic-Scientific or Behavioural?
  2. Do you think, based on his management style, that Rupert could have been unaware of the phone hacking that was happening in Britain?
  3. How do you think he is managing the information being communicated to his remaining companies and staff?
  4. What would you do if you were in his position and asked to answer questions in the British Parliament, and legally didn't have to, about these incidents? Why?

I think Rupert Murdoch employs a behavioural management style, in which employees are taught to be ruthless to get all the information, before anyone else does, and sell as many papers as possible. I think the workforce environment of News Corp. has made them become unethical in their thinking.
I don't think he was unaware, I think he knew all about it, and didn't interfere because he only cared about selling.
I probably wouldn't get to his position with my morals, I would feel too guilty to be as ruthless as people are in the journalism world, but had I his ethic standards, I wouldn't answer any questions unless I was legally required, or if I did, I'd lie and play innocent. Admitting any knowledge of the incidents could damage the rest of his company, but he should publicly apologise for his employee's behaviour.

Rupert Murdochs system for employment seems to be to take individuals who have charecteristics that give them the potential to be unconventional in finding there scoops. Murdochs system of behavioral management has made the reporters unethical in their ways of obtaining information, and therefore wouldnt find it surprising if he had indirectly ordered the phones to be hacked. however, in his defense, journalists seeking wealth and fame might just go to such measures to get such a scoop..one of humans greatest flaws is our greed.
ifi was in his position, i would own up straight away. things we lie about always have a way of coming back to us in the end.

I think Rubert Murdoch employs a behavioural business structure because he trains people to have no fear with anything.
I think he would have been unaware of the hacking because He was busy with other things at the time.
I don't think he can manage very well necause there will be alot of different things he would be worried about rather than this.
If I legally didn't have to answer any questions I wouldn't worry about it.

miss, i have to base mt answer off what the comments above are implying. the link wont open for me :s
rupert murdoch, from personal knowledge , runs a behavioural structure based business. this is shown through his employees ruthlessness in receiving and getting the information required to make a good story. i believe that he would have been unaware at the begining, but as it went on , he would have eventually come to turms with it, and being a legal matter, chose to ignore it. if i were rupert, i would answer the questions to calm the tension and allegations , but in the end discard any emotional connections to it , and keep going because that is what it takes to b a strong business owner. someone who is ready to work with what he/she has to do. but in the end move through it and not get emotionally destressed.

I think Rupert Murdoch employs a behavioural management style, in which employees are to gain information at all costs before the competition to remain Murdochs papers reputational status as the most read paper. I think the workforce environment of News Corp has made them lose all moral integrity and a lack of thinking i.e hacking people phone to get the “scoop”.
I personally think he knew part but not all the story, due to the story being changed as it was passed on in the office, and lets face it the person who tells the boss always sugar coats it so they don’t have a short career, but nether the less i think he aloud it to continue.
Due to my morals and ethics i believe that I probably wouldn't get to his position dua to the amount of wrong things i would be accomplishing. I wouldn't answer any questions unless I was legally required, or if I did, I'd make sure i had some legal thinking or advice behind it. Admitting any knowledge of the incidents could damage the rest of his company and his public image.

I believe that Murdoch employs a behavioural management style as he goes extreme means to get the information he wants. He usually does this because he wants to get the 'scoop' before any other journalist does. I think that there is a possibility that he knew about the phone hacking scandal, but at the same thing didn’t say anything about it as he was too busy with other events happening i the news world. It is a possibility that there may have been a bit of miscommunication as somewhere down the track the story would have been changed a bit to make it sound not as worse as it actually was. If i was in his position, i would answer all questions that i felt comfortable but at the same time if it is not legally required I would carefully consider which ones I would answer as any wrong move made can badly tarnish the business.

i believe that Rupert Murdoch employs behavioural management, because of the fact hell do what he sees he needs to do to be successful. he will go to the greatest trouble and do whatever he can if he believes the information is vital, he goes after something with determination and nothing will get in his way.
i think being such a strong and successful business man he would know what information is in the headlines, he would read a newspapaer and therefore i believe it would be strongly unlikely that he had no clue at all.
i believe he will make sure that he has appointed someone to get the information to all who need it and then would leave it in their hands due to him having other responsiblitlies he may see as being of higher priority. the boss of massive business's wouldn't bother with minor jobs like that.
if i was not legally required to answer these questions i would not due to where the business could end up because of it. but if i had to or felt a need to, i would firstly seek legal advice and figure out where i stand in this area and what my penalties may be, and from there on decide what my responce to the questions would be.

I think rupert murdoch employs a behavioural style of management
I don't believe that he was unaware of the phonehacking scandal as usually managers are responsible and aware of all decision making
He isn't managing information as effective as he should due to the unorganisation of his business
I wouldn't answer questions as it may be too risky and people will start making accusations and exagerrate my responses

I think that Rupert Murdoch uses a behavioural style of management. I think this because he new about the phone hacking and he would do anything to get the news he wanted, and as a journalist he would have been inclined to such things like this.
he would probably employ someone to send out new information to other employees. it would be very confusing as of all the media attention.
if I was in his position I wouldn't answer any questions as it can lead to reporters exaggerating the story.

Admiring the time and energy you put into your website and in depth information you provide. It’s great to come across a blog every once in a while that isn’t the same out of date rehashed information. Although it took me time to read through all the comments, but I really enjoyed the article. Keep up the good work.
